System RequirementsThe Java plugin (JRE) version 1.5 or greater needs to be installed and enabled. This common browser plugin is used by many websites, so it may already be installed. Your Java version can be checked here, and you can download the plugin here. If the chess program still fails to load, you may need to enable the plugin from your browser settings.
Contacts
If your web browser has cookies enabled, and it is not configured to delete them at shutdown, you can save the email contacts you use. Once you save them, they will be available in the email dropdown list on the game. The first address will be default selected when you start a new game. Your contact list is completely private, and SlackerChess.com does not store or distribute this list in any way.
Team Games
SlackerChess can be used to play team games. A public distribution email address (like a public google group) or a comma separated list of email addresses may be used as a players email address. Everyone in the list will receive the email sent by the game, and a designated mover can make the move for each team after debate.
Can I take a move back?
Yes, but you should ask your opponent for permission first. Your game is not being tracked or recorded by slackerchess.com. You can pick any prior email sent by the game, and continue the game from that point.
Why can't I make a move?
The game will not allow you to make an illegal move.

Castling
Move your king to its castling destination, and the rook will be moved for you.
En passant
Move your pawn to its En passant destination, and the other pawn will be captured.
Promotion
Once you move a pawn to promotion position, a popup menu will let you select the promotion type.
